Gluten-Free Larabars
Larabar has answered many gluten-free prayers for me. First off, the original Larabar’s are absolutely delish and are not on my DO NOT EAT, YOU WILL GET SICK Celiac Disease/Gluten Sensitivity list, so thumbs up on that one. Secondly, the brand has recently unveiled a new line of über Bars, the perfect gluten-free snack. Now what is so überlicious about these bars? Let me tell you…
Larabar’s gluten-free diet friendly über bars come in 4 different flavors – Bananas Foster, Apple Turnover, Cherry Cobbler, and Roasted Nut Roll. Let’s start off with the fact that these healthy gluten-free snacks are named after desserts. Pretty good sign, eh? I must admit I was skeptical at first since the bars look like a pile of assorted nuts [and nuts aren't my thing], but that feeling was quickly replaced by addiction.
To see why I am so in love with these gluten-free bars, and to read about a lot of other thoughts and feelings I have on the subject, visit the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness blog. You won’t be sorry, I promise. You can also visit the Larabar website and show your #gfreelove by following them on Twitter @larabar!

My daughter has reacted several times now to Larabars. I read that there is flour used on the dried fruit to prevent caking. Apparently the dried fruit is received this way at the factory so Larabar doesn’t add it to the ingredient list. We have not tried the new uber bars and am not sure that we will. Anyone else in the GF community have this problem with Larabars?

Laura,
I am sorry to hear about your daughter’s reaction. I have not had any negative reactions to Larabars, but I will keep my eye out for other instances! Thank you for letting me know!
