Gluten-Free Weight Loss Products: HCG Diet
If you pop in on my website often, you see a lot of cookie, brownies, cupcakes, crackers, and other calorie-filled product reviews. It really is a hard life eating these tasty products on a regular basis, but someone has got to do it, right? Well, as much as I enjoy reviewing little morsels of pure heaven, I have got to switch it up for my waistline’s sake.
That brings me to this new series of reviews – gluten-free weight loss products.
After coming into contact with HCG Diet Triu Naturals Marketing Manager and learning that many of their products are gluten-free, I said LET’S DO THIS! I received the Triumph Slim Shake, California Lemonade Diet Cleanse, and Triumph weight loss gum.
Before I go on, I must tell you that I did not use the above products as a regimen, I simply taste-tested them. (I get too many gluten-free products in the mail stuffed with calories to truly do a structured detox-type diet) Meaning, my thoughts reflect simply the taste of the products, not the effect.
The first Triu Natural HCG product I tried was the Slim meal replacement shake. I was surprised at how good it tasted, mainly because I am not a shake kind of person due to my hatred for milky things. But, the chocolate taste to this shake was pleasing, and each serving only has 80 calories. So, if you in fact used this product as a meal replacement, you get a good chocolate taste, 80 calories, 3g of sugar, and 2g of fat. Not too shabby, Eh?
The California Lemonade Diet is meant to boost your metabolism by drinking the lemonade with the snack portion of the diet program. Once again, I did not follow the diet guidelines, but simply tasted the products. This lemonade, which comes in a powdered substance that you scoop into 16 oz. of water, is made with cayenne and maple syrup, and actually tastes pretty good (I usually only like the taste of Crystal Light). The substance didn’t necessarily disintegrate all the way, but I still think it is enjoyable for a diet product.
Triu Naturals Xilo Gum is also part of the California Lemon Diet plan, as a product allowed during the 20 day cleanse. With only 2.4 calories per piece (your usual piece of chewing gum has 5 calories), this is a product that is meant to hold you over while on the cleanse. The one criticism I do have for this gum is that the taste does not last as long as I thought it would, which I attribute to the fact that it is half the calories than the gum I am accustomed to.
If you are interested in going on a structured, cleanse-type of diet, check out HCG’s website and see if it is right for you!
