I had the opportunity to enjoy chocolate bars from Videri Chocolate Factory, a bean-to-bar chocolate factory located in downtown Raleigh, NC. The story behind my experience is quite coincidental.
While I often get emails from various gluten-free companies requesting that I try their products and share with my followers, there was something exciting about the email I received from Videri. You see, I visited Raleigh, NC in early October with my boyfriend for a wedding, and while we were exploring downtown on the Sunday after, we came across a cute little chocolate factory. I obviously requested that we go inside to see what it was all about.
The chocolate factory was as cute as can be with a very friendly staff and delicious menu of chocolate options. I chose the Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt bar, plus a few ganaches. It was a wonderful afternoon treat!
Fast forward a few weeks as I sit in Toledo, Ohio checking my email – I see a message from Videri Chocolate Factory in my inbox – the same cute little factory I had just visited! The message gives the history of the chocolate factory, highlights their process, and asks if I would be open to a product review…UH, YES! What are the odds that a small chocolate factory that I had just visited finds me online? Don’t you just love the interwebs?!
My package from Videri Chocolate Factory included their line of chocolate bars. All of Videri’s chocolate is free of emulsifiers, artificial flavoring, xanthan gum, and soy lecithin. They’re also completely nut free, and most of the bars are dairy free – yes, you read that right! The factory uses a bean-to-bar chocolate process, purchasing select beans from across Central and South America, using the finest organic cocoa beans, cocoa butter, and organic sugar.
You can check out their full line of products on the Videri Chocolate Factory website. I definitely recommend treating yourself with these bars of heaven. I find that if you’re going to splurge or reward yourself with chocolate, you might as well give yourself the best.
If you’re dairy free, you might as well just keep Videri on speed dial (or sign up for their chocolate subscription).
If you find yourself in Raleigh, I definitely recommend adding Videri to your itinerary.
